A N C C E

The National Association of Purebred Spanish Horse Breeders of Spain is the international parent association founded for Purebred Spanish Horses.

Constituted in 1972, ANCCE currently accounts for more than 700 breeders world-wide and 22 associations such as those of the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Italy, Mexico, Holland, Czech Republic and Sweden.
ANCCE is the representative of the Purebred Spanish Horse in the COPA-COGEGA( Committee of professional Agricultural organization) and the WBFSH (World Breeders Federation of Sports Horses) and it designs annual promotional plans with the Spanish Institute of Foreign commerce (ICEX) and EXTENDA (Andalusian Promotional Agency).

Included in its main activities are:

Administration of the Registration Book for the Purebred Spanish Horse at international level.


Organization of SICAB (International Equestrian Trade Fair) held annually in Sevilla since 1991, during the week leading up to the last Sunday in November.

Edition of the magazine “El Caballo Español”, a bilingual publication in Spanish and English, that includes news and results relating to the Purebred Spanish Horse.

Attendance at international equestrian trade fairs and editing promotional material.

It is the principal organizer of the Spanish National Conformation Championships.

It is the main organizer of the Tribunals for Qualified Breeding Stock (TQB) and Young Horse Dressage Circuits, within the breed selection scheme.

OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED BY SPAIN’S MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE

It is officially recognized by Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture as the entity that represents the breeders and owners from all over the world and is the administrator of the breed Stud Book, with over 80% of the sector being members.

Due to all this, ANCCE is the official representative before the Ministry of Agriculture when deciding on the measures affecting the breed, such as breed improvement and selection, requirements for registration, competitions, etc.
